SEO consultant

An SEO consultant who advises and implements in the code

I am a freelance SEO consultant with a developer background and have worked with the web and search engine optimisation since 2010. You get a prioritised plan and someone who then fixes things in the code himself. No lock-in, no middlemen, you talk directly to me.

How an engagement works

We start by finding out what is actually holding your site back in Google. Sometimes it is technical, sometimes content, and often a mix where a couple of technical faults drag the whole site down.

You then get a written, prioritised list with the highest return on effort at the top. Every item comes with a reason so you can judge it yourself, and I never promise rankings I cannot control.

Typical tasks I take on as an SEO consultant

  • Indexing and crawling: which pages Google knows, which are missing, and which should never have been included.
  • Site structure and internal linking, so the important pages can be reached in a few clicks.
  • Speed and Core Web Vitals, measured on real visitors rather than only in a test tool.
  • Titles, meta descriptions and headings, written for what people actually search.
  • Redirects during migrations and relaunches, so earned rankings are not lost.
  • Structured data that matches what the page really says.

Reporting you can actually use

You get a short monthly status: what was done, what moved in the numbers, and what comes next. Not fifteen pages of graphs from a dashboard you already have access to.

I also write when nothing has happened yet. SEO takes time, and knowing that we are waiting for an effect is more useful than a report dressing up a flat line.

What you get

Concrete deliverables, not a report of recommendations someone else has to find time for.

  • A technical review

A full crawl of the site plus Search Console, with the findings that matter flagged and the noise filtered out.

  • A written, prioritised plan

Sorted by effect versus effort, with a reason for each item so you can make the decisions yourselves.

  • The fixes implemented

I make the changes in your code and CMS myself, so the plan does not end up as another report in a folder.

  • A monthly status

Half a page on what was done, what the numbers show, and what comes next. Written so anyone in the company can read it.

How it works

Four steps. You know what happens when, and you can stop after any of them.

  1. 01

    Crawl and data review

I crawl the entire site and go through Search Console for indexing errors, coverage and search terms. That gives a picture of how far from your potential you are before anyone touches anything.

  2. 02

    Prioritised by impact

The findings go into a list sorted by what moves the most for the least work. Each item comes with its reasoning, so you can challenge the priorities if you disagree.

  3. 03

    Implementation in the code

The fixes are written and shipped by me: redirects, canonical tags, structured data, speed. If you have your own dev team, I deliver precise, testable tickets for them instead.

  4. 04

    Measuring the effect over time

Rankings and organic traffic are tracked in the weeks that follow, and you get a short status every month. If a number goes the wrong way, I dig into why instead of dressing up the graph.

Frequently asked questions

What does an SEO consultant cost?
The price depends on the size of the site, its technical state and whether you want a scoped project or ongoing help. Send me a link to your site and a few words about the goal, and you get a concrete quote after a short clarification. You will hear back the same day.
What does an SEO consultant actually do?
An SEO consultant analyses your website, works out why it does not rank better, and makes a plan to change that. With me it also includes the execution. I fix the technical issues, the structure and the on-page elements myself, because my background is development.
Do you help businesses all over Denmark?
Yes. I am based in Herlev near Copenhagen but have clients in Aarhus, Odense, Aalborg and many other towns, plus a few abroad. Collaboration is typically remote, and in the Copenhagen area we can happily meet in person.
How quickly can you see results from SEO?
Expect months, not days. Technical fixes can show within a couple of weeks once Google has recrawled the pages, but building visibility on new topics typically takes three to six months or more. If someone promises quick rankings, ask how they intend to deliver them.
Can you work alongside our current agency?
Yes, I do that regularly. I typically take the technical side while the agency handles content and ads. It works well as long as we agree from the start on who decides what.
Do you guarantee rankings in Google?
No, and no serious consultant can. Google keeps changing its algorithms, and your competitors are working too. What I can do is tell you exactly what is in the way now, and what experience says happens once it is cleared.
Do you write the content too?
Structure, keyword selection and briefs, yes. Longer subject-matter texts I leave to people who are better at it than me, and I am happy to recommend someone I have worked with before.
Do you do link building?
I do not buy links, because that is a risk I will not expose your rankings to. I do work a lot with internal linking, which is free and underrated, and I am happy to help find the places where a mention makes sense.
