Website optimization for your visitors

Website optimization starts with what goes wrong for the visitor: a slow product page, a failing form or navigation that is hard to follow. I find the cause, agree the scope and fix it in your existing system. We agree the work before it starts.

Website optimization

What needs to improve?

Send the specific page and describe what you or your customers experience. I review the journey on mobile and desktop alongside the measurements you already have. We need to distinguish a technical failure from a page that is hard to understand.

A low performance score is a clue, not a complete diagnosis. The same applies to a high bounce rate. Before making changes, we agree which action should work better and how to verify it afterwards.

From symptom to a testable task
SymptomWhat I investigateHow the change is checked
The page responds slowlyImages, scripts, response times and the visitor's journeyCompare the same page under the same test conditions
The form gives no confirmationValidation, submission and receipt of the enquiryA test enquiry must arrive and show a clear confirmation

Performance and stability

Large images, unnecessary apps and JavaScript can make a simple page slow. I inspect what the browser loads, when the content becomes visible and whether the layout shifts during use. The fix may be smaller images, fewer dependencies or a theme change.

I distinguish controlled test measurements from field data collected from real visits. A change can be tested immediately, while field data needs time and enough visits.

Navigation, forms and the route to purchase

I review the points where a visitor has to choose or enter information. Is the next step clear? Does an error explain what to correct? Do controls work with a keyboard and on a small screen? We fix the actual obstacle rather than automatically redesigning everything.

An example might be a booking form that only reveals an error after submission. The scope could cover clear fields, understandable validation and a working confirmation. This illustrates a task, not a promised conversion increase.

Technical SEO or a new website?

If the issue concerns crawling, indexing or canonical tags, that part belongs to technical SEO. If the structure and platform need replacing, it may be a new development project. I explain what can improve within the current system and what needs a larger scope.

What to send for a quote

  • The page URL and a short description of the issue.
  • Which action should work better and how to reproduce the problem.
  • The platform, relevant integrations and desired deadline.
  • Any measurements or error messages. Share access through an agreed secure channel when needed.

What you get

Concrete deliverables, not a report of recommendations someone else has to find time for.

  • A defined scope

We agree which pages and journeys to improve and what remains outside the task.

  • Implemented changes

The work is implemented in your existing theme, code and hosting.

  • Verification

The agreed journey is tested, and measurements include a date and test conditions.

  • A usable handover

You receive a description of the changes and any follow-up work.

How it works

Four steps. You know what happens when, and you can stop after any of them.

  1. 01 / 04

    We walk through the job

A 20-30 minute call where you describe what needs to be built or repaired. I ask about platform, access and deadline, and tell you honestly if the job sits outside what I am good at.

  2. 02 / 04

    Review of your code

Small jobs get a price after a short clarification. If a larger existing project needs a technical review first, we agree the price and scope of that review before I open the code.

  3. 03 / 04

Written quote with a clear scope

You get a firm agreement on what is included, what is not, and when it will be ready. If the scope changes along the way, we deal with it openly instead of letting it drift.

  4. 04 / 04

    Delivery in your own setup

I work in your own repository and your own hosting and deliver in pieces you can see and approve. When we are done, you have the code, the access and documentation that makes you independent of me.

Frequently asked questions

Does the website need rebuilding?
Not necessarily. I start with the current system and assess whether a defined change can solve the problem. A larger redesign gets its own scope and quote.
Can you promise more sales?
I can agree a concrete deliverable and verify that it works. Sales also depend on traffic, products and the offer. We agree relevant goals and distinguish technical verification from subsequent business results.

Define the scope of your task

Send your website URL, what you need solved and your desired deadline. I will assess the next step and describe what the quote includes. Larger investigations are agreed separately before work begins.
