SEO workshop
What we cover
- How to find out what people actually search for, and why it is rarely what you call the product.
- How to judge whether a term is worth going after, without fixating on volume.
- How to structure a page so it is both readable and findable.
- How to read Search Console without drowning, and which three reports actually get used.
- When to call a developer, and what to ask for.
Who it is for
Marketers, content owners and editors who write for the web. You do not need to know anything about SEO beforehand, but it helps to have access to the site and a say in it.
If it is the developers attending, I build a technical version instead. That is a different day with different content.
Deliverables
What you get
Concrete deliverables, not a report of recommendations someone else has to find time for.
- Work on your own site
I go through the site beforehand, so the examples are yours and not from someone else's industry.
- A keyword list
Found together during the day, with a judgement on what is worth pursuing and what is not.
- An action plan
A list of concrete things you can start on the next day, sorted by what is easiest to begin.
- A template for new pages
How a page is structured so it is both readable and findable. Something you can reuse.
Process
How it works
Four steps. You know what happens when, and you can stop after any of them.
- 01
Your tasks up front
I ask for two or three concrete tasks people spend time on every week, then build the day around those instead of using my own examples from someone else's industry.
- 02
Morning: the technical part
Short and concrete. Not a talk about what the technology is, everyone has heard that, but how to actually get something usable out of it.
- 03
Afternoon: hands on
People work on their own tasks while I move around the room. That is where it sticks. I have never seen anyone change habits from watching a screen all day.
- 04
Material you keep
A follow-up document with what we built, including what ended up working. New colleagues can catch up later without sitting through the same walkthrough again.

Who does the work
I am the person you will be working with
My name is Mikkel and I have been building for the web since 2010. There is no project manager in between, and you will not get a junior on the job because the senior was busy. What you agree is what gets built, and I am the one building it.
Day to day I am a partner at Bigum&Co, and I have worked on more than 400 projects across ecommerce, pharma, construction and the public sector. Call or write — I usually reply the same day, and I will say straight away if the job is not a fit.

SEO workshop
What an SEO course should contain
There is a standard list of topics most SEO courses cover: keyword research, on-page, links, technical, measurement. That list is not wrong, but it is built around how the discipline is organised, not around what a marketer needs to be able to do on Monday morning.
I build the day differently. We start by finding out what people actually search when looking for what you sell — and it is almost never what you call the product internally. That exercise alone usually changes a couple of page headlines the same afternoon.
Then we look at how to judge whether a search is worth pursuing. Volume is not the answer. Twenty-five searches from people ready to buy something expensive are worth more than a thousand from people after a free template, and that difference can be learned.
Finally we take Search Console. Not the whole tool, but the three reports that actually get used and what to look for in them. Most people have access and have never been told what is worth looking at.
Who it works for
Marketers, content owners and editors who write for the web. You do not need to know anything about SEO beforehand, but it helps to have access to the site and a say in what goes on it.
It works less well if the participants cannot change anything afterwards. If every decision about the site sits with an agency, the day becomes knowledge without action, and the money is better spent getting the agency to do the work.
If it is the developers attending, I build a technical version instead. That is a different day with different content, and the two groups rarely benefit from sitting together.
Reviews
What people say about me
I have never come across a developer as dedicated and capable as Mikkel.
Jonas Krogslund(translated from Danish) Mikkel is seriously good, helpful, lightning fast to reply — and on top of that he is a nice person.
Trine Handskemager(translated from Danish) Mikkel delivered competent, professional work setting up my website. Everything ran quickly and without a hitch.

Why me
- 16 years of experience
I have built for the web since 2010 and seen most of the ways a project can come off the rails. It makes the estimates more honest.
- 400+ projects
Across ecommerce, pharma, construction and the public sector. Chances are I have seen something close to your job before.
- You talk to the person coding
No project manager in between, and no junior on the job because the senior was busy. What you agree is what gets built.
Brands I have worked with
A selection. Some freelance, some through agencies, some across several years.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
- Is it half a day or a full day?
- Both exist. Half a day is enough to cover the essentials. A full day leaves time for people to actually rewrite something while I am there.
- Do we get a site audit included?
- A light version, yes — I go through the site beforehand so the examples are yours. A thorough technical audit is a separate piece of work.
- Can we have it online?
- Yes, and the SEO workshop works better online than the AI one does, because more of the work happens in a browser and can be shared on screen.
- How many can attend?
- Up to fifteen works fine when there is no need for individual help all afternoon. If people are working on their own pages, twelve is a better limit.
- Can you run it for an agency?
- Yes, and I do it regularly. The content then gets more technical because the starting point is higher, and we spend more time on the cases where the client's platform gets in the way.
